Description
landslide incident that occurred in Barangay Napnapan, Pantukan, Compostela Valley Province on January 4, 2012 at 12 midnight based on the report sent by of Regional Director Ester Acebedo Versoza of DSWD-FO XI dated January 5, 2012. • Forty (40) persons were affected with twenty-five (25) dead and fifteen (15) others were injured. • The local government of Compostela Valley provided anundetermined amount assistance to the affected families. • DSWD- Field Office (FO) XI is closely monitoring and coordinating with their local counterparts for any significant reports. Further, FO has available standby funds (P535,470.00), stockpile of relief commodities composed of 1,942 family food packs (P480,198.34), and food (P668,718.04) and non-food (P177,802.04) ready for augmentation to the local government units affected by any type of disasters. The Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) is closely coordinating with DSWD-FO XI for significant report relative to this incident.
